1. Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba extends Holi wishes, announces India visit later this week.
2. Former Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has called upon current President Mohamed Muizzu to engage in dialogue with neighbouring countries to tackle the nation’s financial challenges.
Solih highlighted the disparity in debt owed by the Maldives to China and India, stating that the nation owes MVR 18 billion to China compared to MVR 8 billion to India, with a repayment period of 25 years.
3. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his Singapore counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan and reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation. The two leaders exchanged views on the Indo-Pacific and West Asia.

5. India has hit out at Pakistan for supporting terrorism saying that Islamabad should be advised to stop terror factories that continue to launch cross-border terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. This was stated by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman, Harivansh in the Right of Reply against Pakistan during the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.
6. The High Commission of India in Colombo Unveils Buddhist Exhibition at Sri Sambodhi Maha Vihara Temple. This exhibition marks the second installment in a series of mobile exhibitions organized by the High Commission, each to be unveiled at different Buddhist places of worship on every Poya day throughout the year.
7. China on Monday continued to claim that Arunachal Pradesh is part of its territory, notwithstanding India dismissing Beijing’s claim as “absurd” and “ludicrous”.

1. The United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the first global resolution on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The resolution, sponsored by the United States and co-sponsored by 123 countries, including Russia, China, and Cuba, aims to ensure that the powerful new technology benefits all nations, respects human rights, and is safe, secure, and trustworthy.
2. Israel has nodded to a US proposal on a prisoner-hostage exchange deal, under which Tel Aviv would release over 700 Palestinian prisoners, including 100 serving life sentences for killing Israeli nationals, in exchange for the release of 40 Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.
3. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill prohibiting minors under 14 from having social-media accounts, following similar efforts in other states that have been challenged in court.
4. Employees of university of Baluchistan without pay for past three months, demand release of salaries and pensions for the past three months.
5. Several people have died and some 1,000 homes have been destroyed in a 6.9 magnitude earthquake that hit a remote part of western Papua New Guinea. The quake rocked the East Sepik region at about 6:20am on Sunday (20:20 GMT on Saturday) near the town of Ambunti.
