1. China’s Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong called on External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday evening, and discussed the bilateral relationship between India and China.

2. India and Russia are making arrangements for an upcoming visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Russia in July.

3. In a telephonic conversation with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his full support for the success of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Astana.During the conversation, the two leaders reiterated their commitment to continue to work together to advance bilateral strategic partnerships. Summit to be held on July 3-4.

4. The third meeting of the Quad Policy Planners’ Working Group was held in New Delhi on Monday and “key priorities” of the Indo-Pacific region were discussed.

1. The death toll in the attacks by gunmen on synagogue and church in Russia’s Dagestan has risen to 20. Three days of mourning has also been declared in Russia’s North Caucasus region of Dagestan.

2. The UAE has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that took place in the Republic of Dagestan in the Russian Federation, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of security personnel and innocent civilians.

3. Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said that the country is considering whether to impose import tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles and will seek the public’s opinion about the idea.
