1. A delegation of Indo-Pakistan teams arrives to inspect two hydroelectric power projects under the Indus Water Treaty (IWT), as part of Neutral Expert proceedings, in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, on 24 June 2024.
2. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently concluded his official visit to the UAE, which signified the importance India attaches to its relations with the Gulf country as it came within two weeks of his EAM’s reappointment.
3. Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived in New York after a halt in Switzerland’s Zurich on Saturday.The members of the Tibetan community and his well-wishers welcomed the Dalai Lama HHDL on his arrival in New York City on Sunday.Dalai Lama left for Delhi from Dharamshala on Friday, to head to the US for his knee surgery.
4. The Indian High Commission in Canada slammed Canada on the 39th anniversary of the Air India Kanishka bombing and said that any act of “glorifying terrorism” is “deplorable”, adding that it is unfortunate that such actions are allowed on many occasions in Canada.
The Indian High Commission stated that the bombing of AI-182 in 1985 and any other act of terrorism should be condemned by all peace-loving countries.
5. External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar has greeted all Passport Authorities in India and abroad on the occasion of 12th Passport Seva Divas.
6. The UNESCO honored Kozhikode in Kerala as India’s first “City of Literature” on June 23.

1. In Pakistan, Another Baloch student, studying philosophy at Karachi University, was reportedly abducted from his hometown of Pasni. Baloch Yakjehti Committee, announced that Bahadur’s family initiated a sit-in protest at Pasni Zero-Point, blocking the Makran Coastal Highway.
2. India is actively exploring the potential of small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) as a clean and sustainable energy option to meet its growing demands. SMRs are a class of nuclear reactors that are smaller in size and can be built in a modular fashion.
3. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the intense phase of fighting in Rafah in southern Gaza is nearly over, but the war would continue until Hamas is completely driven from the power.
4. In Russia, the death toll in twin attacks in the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala of North Caucasus has risen to 15 that includes police officers, a priest and a security guard. Six of the attackers were dead and police are hunting for others.
5. In China, four people died and one went missing as torrential rains triggered mountain torrents in central Hunan Province.
