1. The Bangladesh government officially registered its protest with New Delhi against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s recent statement offering ‘shelter to helpless people’ fleeing from the violence-hit neighbouring country.

2. Amid an escalating unrest in Bangladesh, over 300 Indian students crossed the northeastern borders till now. Protests have surged across the country, resulting in over 100 deaths as students clashed with security forces and pro-government activists over the controversial reintroduction of reservation in government jobs.

1. In Nepal, a small plane belonging to the Saurya Airline carrying 19 passengers caught fire during takeoff in the capital city, Kathmandu, on Wednesday. 18 dead of 19 aboard Saurya Airlines plane.

2. Myanmar’s acting President has taken medical leave and transferred his duties to Military Chief Min Aung Hlaing.

3. Azerbaijan’s COP29 has announced the Climate Finance Action Fund (CFAF), funded by fossil fuel producers, to support green projects and help nations meet the 1.5°C target from November 11 to 22 this year.
