1. Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka arrives in New Delhi on a three-day visit; To hold talks with PM Modi.

2. US Vice President JD Vance has said that Donald Trump applied secondary tariffs on India to force Russia to stop the war with Ukraine. Calling it ‘aggressive economic leverage’, Vance said that the measure would make it difficult for Russia to get richer by selling its crude oil.

3. India and Saudi Arabia have agreed to deepen maritime
relations by forming a Joint Working Group (JWG) focused
on cooperation in shipping and logistics. This strategic partnership builds on their strong economic and socio-cultural ties and aligns with India’s Maritime India Vision
2030, Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and India’s Amrit Kaal
Vision 2047.

4. India and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) —
comprising Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic,
and Russia — signed the Terms of Reference (ToR) in
Moscow to initiate Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
negotiations. The ToR, signed by officials from both sides,
aims to boost exports, support MSMEs, and diversify
market access.

5. Sri Lanka hosts International Kite Festival 2025. The event, organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau with Derana Media Network, saw 55 international kite flyers from 25 countries join 500 local participants in a day of competitive artistry and cultural celebration.

6. BSF arrested a high official of Bangladesh while he tried to illegally enter India through Hakimpur checkpost at indo-Bangladesh border. Md. Arifuzzaman was ACP, Rangpur Metropolitan Police during the Hasina-regime. He was the Secretary of the Army. He later went on hiding at Satkhira when the Yunus government had come to power in Bangladesh.

1. Bangladesh on Sunday raised pending issues, including an apology for the 1971 war, with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who is the most senior leader from his country to visit Dhaka since 2012.

2. Dubai has launched the “One Freezone Passport,” recently, a unified
business licensing system allowing companies to operate
across all Dubai free zones with a single license, eliminating
the need for multiple permits.

3. Pakistan’s Auditor General has pointed to serious financial mismanagement in a new report, highlighting lapses worth 375 trillion Pakistani Rupee. The report has raised concerns over weak governance and poor financial control.

4. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Western countries of trying to “block” peace negotiations to end the Ukraine conflict.

5. Authorities in Vietnam and China have begun emergency preparations as Typhoon Kajiki intensified. Vietnam has planned to evacuate nearly six lakh people from central provinces including Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Hue, and Danang.

6. Israeli warplanes have hit several sites in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, yesterday including an area near the presidential palace and an oil depot. Explosions shook Sanaa, after Israeli airstrikes hit Houthi missile bases.

7. World leaders have sent messages of support as Ukraine marked 34 years since breaking free from Soviet rule. US President Donald Trump praised Ukraine’s courage in a letter. He said the United States believed in Ukraine’s future as an independent nation. He also called for a negotiated peace to stop the bloodshed and protect Ukraine’s sovereignty.
