1. Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and King of Jordan Abdullah II, strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. In a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Netanyahu expressed solidarity with the people of India, and the families of the victims.

2. India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.

3. Former Indian ambassador to Pakistan Prabhu Dayal said that the strong measures taken by the government following the Pahalgam terror attack will adversely affect Pakistan. He stated that the decision to put the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance will seriously impact Pakistan’s agriculture.

4. Pakistani nationals not to be permitted to travel to India under SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said.

The World Immunization Week is celebrated in the last week of April to promote the life-saving power of immunization. The theme for this year is “Immunization for All is Humanly Possible”.

7. World Book and Copyright Day, observed annually on April 23, is a global event celebrating the joys of reading and writing, as well as the significance of copyright protection.
