1. Plans For an India-to-Europe Trade Route Get Shelved : A new trade route bridging South Asia with Europe — where goods moved on ships, trains and trucks from ports in western India through the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Israel and into markets in Italy, France and Germany.

2. India gears up to celebrate its Republic Day : The prestigious French Foreign Legion will be marching at the Kartavya Path. Two French Rafale fighter jets, a transport aircraft, and a formidable 95-member contingent from the French Foreign Legion are set to make a significant mark on the celebrations.

3. At least eight people were injured after a Myanmar military aircraft that was supposed to fly back dozens of soldiers fleeing conflict at home overshot the runway of an airport in northeastern India on Tuesday. The aircraft had come to Lengpui airport to transport back 92 Myanmar soldiers.

4. ISRO’S CHANDRAYAAN-3 COMES BACK TO LIFE; it will now help humans going on moon: The new experiment on Vikram landerIn a historic achievement following its lunar mission, India’s Chandrayaan-3 has repurposed its Vikram lander into a crucial navigational tool on the Moon’s surface.

NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) joined forces in a pioneering experiment utilizing the Laser Retroreflector Array (LRA) on the Vikram lander for precise laser range measurements.

5. To help Afghanistan, India has supplied 40,000 litres of Malathion, a pesticide used to fight locust menace, through the Chabahar port. The Taliban-controlled Ministry of Agriculture has expressed gratitude for this assistance.

6. Addressing the Nigeria-India Business Council (NIBC) in Abuja.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the relationship between the two nations today is of about USD 13-15 billion worth of trade annually.

He added that in this trade partnership, India has committed USD 27-30 billion of investment, making Nigeria a premier economic partner in Africa.
