1. The Indian Embassy in Qatar is providing all possible assistance in the matter of the detention of an Indian national, Amit Gupta, by Qatari authorities in relation to an ongoing investigation.
2. India has sent humanitarian assistance to Botswana in the wake of floods in the country.
3. The government exported a consignment of 30 metric tons (MT) of GI-tagged jaggery from Muzzafarnagar to Bangladesh. The initiative marks the beginning of direct exports of jaggery from western Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh through Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs).
4. The 4th India-EU Maritime Security Dialogue was held in New Delhi yesterday. Israel has said that it has hit dozens of Hezbollah rocket launchers and a command centre in southern Lebanon after rockets were fired from there into Israel for the first time since November’s ceasefire. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israel Defense Forces were directed to act forcefully against dozens of terror targets.
2. The 72-year-old Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was sworn in as the first woman president of the southern African nation of Namibia. Outgoing 83-year-old President Nangolo Mbumba handed over power in a ceremony.
3. At least 44 civilians were killed and 13 others injured in an attack on a mosque in southwest Niger. The country’s defence ministry said the attack occurred during prayers in the village of Fombita, in the rural commune of Kokorou.
The government blamed the attack on the EIGS group, an Islamic State affiliate.
4. US President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearances of Former President Joe Biden, Former vice-president Kamala Harris, Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and several senior former White House and national security officials.

8. Turkish authorities detained more than 300 people during overnight protests in more than a dozen cities against the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
