1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on his fourth official visit to the United Kingdom on 23 July 2025, marking a pivotal moment in the trajectory of India–UK relations.

2. The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite is scheduled for launch on 30 July 2025 at 5:40 PM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, aboard ISRO’s GSLV-F16 rocket. The satellite, weighing 2,392 kg, will be placed into a 734 km sun-synchronous orbit (close to 743 km with 98.4° inclination), enabling it to pass over the same region at the same local time every day for consistent Earth observations.

3. The Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Government of Nepal and Project Implementing Agencies of Government of Nepal, signed Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) for undertaking 5 High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) in Nepal under the grant assistance of Government of India in Education and Health Sectors, at a total estimated cost of NRs. 390 million.

4. Bolivia thanks India for timely support by donating measles & rubella vaccine in its health emergency.

5. Russia’s Uralvagonzavod has also expressed interest in collaborating with India to develop the T-14 Armata main battle tank (MBT) under India’s Next-Generation Main Battle Tank (NGMBT) program.

6. Minister of State for External Affairs Ministry Pabitra Margherita met with Prime Minister of Lesotho Samuel Matekane. Both leaders held meaningful discussions on deepening India-Lesotho bilateral cooperation across key sectors.

7. Muslim groups have asked the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to consider honouring Maulana Sheikh Abubakar Musliyar, the honorary ‘Grand Mufti’ of India, with the Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award.

Musliyar, 94, an Islamic scholar and educationist from Kerala, recently intervened to get Houthi-ruled Sana’a in Yemen to postpone the execution of Kerala-based nurse, Nimisha Priya, who was sentenced to death, with the execution scheduled for 16 July, 2025.
