1. High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, met 24 Sri Lankan delegates headed to New Delhi for a week-long Capacity-Building Program at India’s Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies.
3. The 24th Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Meeting of the Council of Ministers (COM), hosted by the IORA Chair Sri Lanka, was held virtually, under the theme: “Sustainable Indian Ocean for future Generation”. Secretary (East) in External Affairs Ministry, P. Kumaran, led the Indian delegation at the 24th meeting of IORA COM.
3. India has formally assumed the Chairmanship of the Asian Productivity Organization, APO for the 2025-26 term during the ongoing 67th Session of the Governing Body Meeting of the organisation.

1. Bangladesh ruled out any possibility of allowing a “humanitarian corridor” to Myanmar’s Rakhine State through Bangladesh. The government has neither discussed nor intends to discuss such a proposal with any party, said Bangladesh National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
2. US President Donald Trump has announced 175 billion Golden Dome missile defence shield for the United States. He has also named US Space Force General Michael Guetlein to head the ambitious program aimed at blocking threats from China and Russia.
3. Ukraine’s National Guard has said that six servicemen were killed and 10 others wounded in a Russian missile strike on a training exercise in the Sumy border region. The attack is a major setback for Ukraine’s military.
4. The UK has suspended trade talks with Israel, summoned the Israeli ambassador, and imposed new sanctions on West Bank settlers over the worsening situation in Gaza.
5. Pakistan, at least six people, including four children, have been killed and many others injured in a bomb attack on a school bus in Khuzdar town in Balochistan region.
6. Afghanistan is reportedly preparing to build new dams to restrict the flow of its river waters into Pakistan, according to a claim made by a Baloch activist on social media. A Taliban official, General Mubin, advocated for these dams in the Kunar region to bolster Afghanistan’s electricity and agriculture.
