1. PM Modi is scheduled to visit the United Kingdom and the Maldives from Wednesday to Saturday in July 2025, as part of a diplomatic outreach aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
2. A man from Jammu & Kashmir has reportedly been abducted in Niger, West Africa, during a terrorist attack. ICMR has released an Expression of Interest (EoI) inviting pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers to collaborate in transferring the technology and mass-producing the vaccine, aiming to tackle Plasmodium falciparum, the most deadly malaria parasite in humans.
5. In a strategic move to strengthen real-time surveillance and military preparedness, the Indian government has initiated talks with global commercial satellite imagery providers. This follows intelligence reports that China supported Pakistan with live satellite inputs during Operation Sindoor in May 2025. The aim is to enhance India’s existing capabilities by integrating high-resolution, real-time imagery into defence operations.

India continued its upward trajectory in international academic excellence by securing the 7th position at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025 held in Sunshine Coast, Australia. 8. India will become the first country outside Japan to run the new E10 Shinkansen bullet train, starting with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project in the early 2030s. 1. NASA and international solar physicists aim to unlock the mysteries of the Sun’s chromosphere with the Solar EruptioN Integral Field Spectrograph (SNIFS). This mission targets the highly dynamic chromosphere, a vital layer in understanding solar activity and the heating of the solar corona.

The chromosphere is a thin, reddish layer between the Sun’s visible surface (photosphere) and its million-degree corona.
