1. India and France have signed a new technical agreement to deepen defence research and development collaboration, marking a significant step in their longstanding strategic partnership.The agreement, signed at DRDO Bhawan in New Delhi by DRDO Chairman Dr Samir V Kamat and France’s National Armaments Director Lt Gen Gael Diaz de Tuesta.

2. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Arab Emirates’ EDGE Group, marking a strategic alliance aimed at expanding global defence export opportunities.The collaboration brings together two major entities with complementary strengths across aerospace, defence systems, and advanced technologies.

3. India is preparing to stage a milestone in deep-sea exploration as its first crewed submersible, Matsya-6000, readies for initial test dives off the Chennai coast in early 2026. The project represents a key step under the Samudrayaan programme, part of the Ministry of Earth Sciences’ Deep Ocean Mission.

4. India has confirmed that PM Modi will attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg from 21 to 23 November, where he will speak in all three sessions.

5. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal invited Israeli companies and start-ups to co-develop, co-design, and co-produce in India.

6. The 7th Meeting of the National Security Advisers (NSAs) of the Colombo Security Conclave began in New Delhi. The NSA added that as the countries connected by shared maritime geography, it is the responsibility of the Member States to ensure stability, security, and safety of the region.

7. India has expanded its Visa-on-Arrival facility for UAE nationals to include Cochin, Calicut and Ahmedabad international airports. With this move, UAE citizens now have access to VoA at nine major entry points across India.
