1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation level talks with President of Guyana, Dr. Mohammed Irfaan Ali at Georgetown. Five agreements were signed following the talks between the two leaders. This includes cooperation in the field of Medical Products regulation, Hydrocarbon sector, bilateral cooperation in Agriculture and allied sectors and UPI facilities.

2. The Indian Foreign Secretary is scheduled to visit Dhaka in mid-December to lead the Indian delegation at the next round of India-Bangladesh Foreign Office Consultation (FOC). The last annual FOC was held in New Delhi on 24 November 2023.

3. 19th G20 Summit has ended with Brazil’s President Lula Da Silva handing over the presidency to President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa.

4. India on Wednesday strongly trashed as “smear campaign” a Canadian media report that claimed that the Indian prime minister was aware of the alleged plot to kill Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

1. Brazil officially transferred the Group of 20 (G20) Presidency to South Africa during the closing ceremony of the annual G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This marks a historic milestone as South Africa becomes the first African nation to lead the G20.

2. At least 12 🇵🇰Pakistan Army personnel were killed and 10 others critically injured in a suicide attack on a security check post in MaliKhel in Bannu District of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. As per Pakistan’s military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the deadly attack took place Tuesday night. It said, attackers rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the post’s wall, causing significant casualties.

3. In 🇳🇵Nepal, Durga Parsai, a medical entrepreneur turned politician arrested for cybercrime, for purportedly circulating malicious and defamatory contents against Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in social media.

4. The 🇺🇸US embassy in Kyiv has been shut down over an anticipated air attack.

5. Maldives President Dr. Muizzu rejects controversial media bill

🇲🇻Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that he does not seek to control the media in the archipelago. Speaking at the “Week 52” ceremony marking his administration’s first year, Dr. Muizzu declared his rejection of the controversial Media and Broadcasting bill which was introduced by an independent MP Abdulla Hannan Aboobakuru and reassured journalists that it does not align with his policies.

6. In 🇺🇸USA President-elect Donald Trump names Mehmet Oz as nominee for Medicaid and Medicare Services Head.

7. Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a 200 million dollar policy-based loan to support Sri Lanka in strengthening its financial sector. This marks the second subprogram under ADB’s Financial Sector Stability and Reforms Program towards stabilising the country’s economy and manage the financial crisis.
