1. Vinay Kumar (IFS: 1992), presently Ambassador of India to Myanmar, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, informed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
2. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) signed a strategic partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi to foster research initiatives through collaborative projects, training programs, and research consultancy.
3. PM Modi will pay a two day State visit to Bhutan from Thursday, the stage is set for further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the two neighbouring nations across various sectors.India and Bhutan share a unique and exemplary bilateral relationship founded on mutual trust, goodwill, and understanding.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will receive audience with the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and the Fourth King of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck. He will also hold talks with his Bhutanese counterpart Tshering Tobgay.
4. US State Department Special Representative for Afghanistan, Thomas West, will travel to India and the UAE this week. His visit aims to meet US partner countries’ officials on collaboration in support of the Afghan people.
5. India and Maldives held their fourth bilateral review meeting on Monday regarding Indian Line of Credit (LoC) projects. The meeting aimed to evaluate the progress of ongoing projects and address any challenges hindering their advancement.
6. The holy relics of Lord Buddha and his disciples Arahant Sariputta and Arahant Maha Moggallana has returned to India from Krabi, after 25 days of exposition in four cities of Thailand. A delegation led by Chairman of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Tashi Gyalson accompanied the relics back to India in a special flight of Indian Air Force.

1. US State Secretary Antony Blinken is set to visit Saudi Arabia and Egypt to meet with government leaders this week and discuss efforts to reach an “immediate ceasefire agreement” between Israel and Hamas.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has said that Hamas deputy military commander Marwan Issa died in an Israeli air strike.
2. A large number of Pashtuns organised an anti-Pakistan protest in front of the United Nations office to denounce the crackdown on workers and leaders of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM).The protest, held during the 55th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), was organised by PTM Europe and joined by many Afghan Pashtuns.
3. Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal announced on Tuesday that diplomatic efforts have been initiated with China to convert a loan for Pokhara International Airport to a grant as it failed to garner income, instead piled up more debt.
4. The government of Nepal has officially declared Pokhara, a picturesque city in the Gandaki province, as the tourism capital of the Himalayan nation.
5. In response to Pakistan’s airstrikes in Afghanistan, the Taliban’s forces have targeted Pakistan’s military posts along the Durand Line with heavy weapons, the Afghanistan-based Khaama Press reported.
6. Recently Russian President Vladimir Putin has secured a resounding victory in the presidential election, extending his nearly quarter-century rule for another six years. The election has been widely criticized by Western nations and opposition groups as lacking democratic legitimacy.
7. Donald Trump has decided against choosing Vivek Ramaswamy as his running mate and is now considering him for a position in his Cabinet, citing his public speaking skills and immigrant background.
