1. Microsoft software outage disrupts multiple services worldwide; IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw says reason for outage has been identified and updates have been released to resolve the issue.
In India, check-in systems for IndiGo, Akasa, and SpiceJet airlines were down nationwide. The airline across the globe reported that their check-in systems were experiencing a global outage since morning.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar spoke to his Ukrainian counterpart this afternoon and discussed issues of mutual interest.

3. India appeals to Indian nationals in Bangladesh to follow advisory issued by High Commission in Dhaka due to anti-quota protests.

4. India and Argentina agree to strengthen cooperation in Lithium exploration and mining.

5. India has denounced Pakistan as “a global epicentre of terrorism” and called it an irony that Islamabad claims to be at the forefront of fighting terror. Speaking at the United Nations Security Council, India’s Permanent Representative Parvathaneni Harish said, Pakistan is a global epicentre of terrorism, harbouring more than 20 UN-listed terrorist entities.

6. PM Modi will inaugurate the first edition of the SOUL Leadership Conclave on 21st February at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Bhutan Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay will deliver the keynote address as the Guest of Honor.

The two day SOUL Leadership Conclave will serve as a premier platform where leaders from diverse domains like politics, sports, arts and media, the spiritual world, public policy, business and the socialist sector will share their inspiring life journeys.

7. The 9th Asia Economic Dialogue is being organised from today in Pune, Maharashtra. The Asia Economic Dialogue is External Affairs Ministry’s annual flagship ‘Track 1.5 Dialogue’ on Geoeconomics. The three-day Dialogue is being co-hosted in collaboration with Pune International Centre. The theme of the Dialogue is “Economic Resilience and Resurgence in an Era of Fragmentation.”

The Dialogue will explore key contemporary topics in geo-economics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation, economic imperatives of Cyber Security, and facets of Blue Economy in Indian Ocean Region and beyond.

8. India has been elected to the Vice Presidency of the International Association of Aids to Marine Navigation (IALA) at the ongoing first General Assembly of IALA in Singapore. The Indian delegation is being led by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Secretary, T.K. Ramachandran.

1. The Palestinian armed group Hamas has proposed exchanging all Israeli captives and Palestinian prisoners in one go during the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal, with the aim of reaching a permanent truce and a full Israeli pullout.

2. Death toll has reached 39 in the anti-quota protests in Bangladesh. Violence escalated in the country over protests by students demanding reforms in the quota system for government jobs.
