1. Astronaut capacity of the Bharatiya Antariksha Station has been revealed of the initial crew capacity. The BAS is designed to support an initial crew of three astronauts.

Plans are in place to expand this capacity to six astronauts in the future, allowing for more extensive research and operational capabilities. The station will weigh approximately 52 tons and is expected to orbit between 400 and 450 kilometers above Earth.

2. Armenian and Indian defence ministers convened in New Delhi on 30 November 2024, to discuss enhancing bilateral defence cooperation. Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan met with Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during this working visit, which underscores the growing military ties between the two nations.

3. India has called for a critical balance between preventing Plastic Pollution and affecting sustainable development, especially of developing economies. Making an intervention at the Final Plenary of the 5th session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee in Busan, South Korea, India reiterated the enormity of the challenge of Plastic Pollution.

4. Tripura’s Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury alleged that a bus on the way to Kolkata from Agartala was attacked in Bangladesh. The incident happened on Bishwa Road in Bangladesh’s Brahmanbaria district.

The violence, which has persisted for 11 consecutive days, began on November 21 with an ambush on a convoy that killed 52 people initially, primarily from the Shiite community.

4. A Canadian court has issued a significant injunction restricting pro-Khalistan protests within 100 meters of the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Scarborough, Toronto. This order was passed by the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario on November 28, 2024, in response to concerns raised by the temple’s management regarding potential disruptions during an Indian consular camp.

5. Voting is underway in Romania to elect the new Parliament. More than 18 million Romanian citizens, including those living abroad are casting ballots to fill 332 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 137 in the Senate.

6. Bangladesh, business leaders have expressed concerns over the failure of the interim government to tackle the country’s law and order situation.
