1. India and Chile agree to hold discussions toward Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to boost trade and investment; Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chile President Gabriel Boric Font hold talks in New Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi explained the meaning of the Ashoka Chakra to Chile’s President Gabriel Boric Font during their meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
2. The Create in India Challenge (CIC) Season-1, as part of the World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), has achieved a new milestone by crossing 85 thousand registrations, including 1,100 international participants. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that over 750 finalists from across 32 diverse challenges have been selected after a meticulous selection process.
3. NASA astronaut Sunita Williams has shared her excitement about reconnecting with her father’s homeland, India and sharing her experiences about space exploration with people of the country. Ms Williams made these remarks while talking to the media after her return from an extended mission aboard the International Space Station. She returned to Earth aboard the SpaceX Crew 9 Dragon spacecraft on 19th of last month after a 286-day stay in space.
4. The third India-Japan Space Dialogue was held in Tokyo. The dialogue brought together ministries and agencies related to outer space, facilitating an exchange of views on their respective space policies and priorities.
5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangkok, Thailand from 3 – 4 April 2025 to participate in the 6th BIMSTEC Summit to be held on 4 April 2025, hosted by Thailand.
6. From Thailand, Prime Minister will travel to Sri Lanka on a State Visit from 4 – 6 April 2025, at the invitation of the President of Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Anura Kumara Disanayaka.
7. France has once again emphasised its support for India’s bid for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) as it assumes the monthly presidency of the Security Council.

1. Finland said the NATO member country is planning to quit a global convention banning anti-personnel landmines and boost defense spending to at least 3 per cent of GDP by 2029. The country said, it is taking the steps in response to the evolving military threat from Russia.
2. Iceland evacuated the town of Grindavik and the nearby Blue Lagoon as a volcano started spewing lava, the eighth eruption to hit the region since the end of 2023.

6. Myanmar Earthquake: Death toll rises to 2719; rescue operations are underway in Myanmar in full swing.
7. China launched a new round of military exercises around Taiwan in its latest warning to the island’s democratic government. The Chinese military said that the drills served as a powerful deterrent to separatist forces advocating Taiwanese independence.
