1. Indian national Nikhil Gupta, suspected by the US of involvement in an unsuccessful plot to kill the India-designated pro-Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on American soil pleaded not guilty on Monday at a federal court in the US.

2. A US Congressional delegation visited the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile in Dharamshala on Tuesday. The top delegation, which includes former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, arrived in India. The American delegation was received by officials of the Central Tibetan Administration at Kangra Airport.

3. USA to commence advanced training for ISRO Astronauts at NASA johnson space centre.

Marking a significant milestone in the India-US space partnership and space exploration, the two countries concluded the Strategic Framework for Human Spaceflight Cooperation to deepen interoperability in space and are working toward commencing advanced training for ISRO astronauts at the NASA Johnson Space Centre, the first-ever joint effort between NASA and ISRO astronauts at the International Space Station.

4. US National Security Adviser (NSA) Jake Sullivan began his two-day visit to India on Monday as both countries take the next steps in strategic technology and defence cooperation during the third term of the NDA government led by PM Modi.

5. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval chaired the second meeting of the U.S.-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) with his United States counterpart Jake Sullivan in New Delhi.

1. Russian President Vladimir Putin lands in Pyongyang, commences his first visit to North Korea in 24 years amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine as well as the confrontation between North and South Korean troops on their shared border.

2. Japan’s health officials are on high alert because the number of Streptococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome (STSS) cases has increased significantly. STSS is a serious illness that usually ends in death. So far this year, on June 2, 977 cases have been reported.

3. At least 323 Egyptian pilgrims died during the hajj pilgrimage in western Saudi Arabia, most of them succumbing to heat-related illnesses.
