1. PM Narendra Modi will visit Kuwait on the 21st and 22nd of December, at the invitation of the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

2. The 23d Meeting of the Special Representatives of India and China, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, was held in Beijing.

3. The first round of Foreign Office Consultations between India and Liberia were held in Monrovia on Tuesday. It was co-chaired by Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Sevala Naik Mude and Liberia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti.

4. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar yesterday held a telephonic conversation with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar. In a social media post, The Minister said that Mr Sa’ar briefed him about the ongoing developments in the region.

5. President of Nepal Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Nepal’s resident ambassadors to India and Malaysia. The President re-appointed Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma as the Resident Ambassador of Nepal to the Republic of India. Dr Netra Prasad Timsina was appointed as the Resident Ambassador of Nepal to Malaysia.

6. Sri Lanka to offer visa-free travel to Indian nationals from Jan 2025.

7. India’s recent decision to reopen its embassy in North Korea marks a significant shift in its foreign policy, reflecting a strategic recalibration amidst evolving geopolitical dynamics.India had closed its embassy in Pyongyang in July 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

8. India has launched a scheme to promote AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy) globally, establishing AYUSH Chairs at universities in Bangladesh, Australia, Mauritius, Latvia, and Malaysia.

1. The outgoing Biden administration has relaxed rules for H-1B visas that will make it easier for American companies to hire foreign workers with special skills and facilitate a smoother transition from F-1 student visas to H-1B visas.

2. Russian detained a suspect in the killing of a senior general, in Charge of its nuclear protection forces, Igor Kirillov. According to the Russian Federal Security Service, the suspect is an Uzbek citizen recruited by Ukrainian intelligence services.
