1. Saudi Arabia Bus-Tanker Crash Updates : At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims are dead following a devastating collision between a bus and a tanker near Medina, Saudi Arabia on Monday. The victims were traveling from Mecca to Medina when the bus caught fire.
2. Ministry of External Affairs has said that India, as a close neighbour remains committed to the best interests of the people of Bangladesh, including in peace, democracy, inclusion and stability in that country. In a statement, the Ministry said that India has noted the verdict announced by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh concerning former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Ministry said, India will always engage constructively with all stakeholders to ensure peace and democracy in the neighbouring nation.
3. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth held a bilateral meeting with his UAE counterpart Mohammad Mubarak Al Mazrouei on the sidelines of the Dubai Air Show 2025. During the meeting, he highlighted the strong bilateral engagement through institutional mechanisms, defence exhibitions, and training cooperation.
4. A delegation of senior ASEAN diplomats will begin a three-day visit to Bhopal today. The visit aims to strengthen economic, industrial, investment and cultural ties between Madhya Pradesh and the Southeast Asian bloc.
5. Strengthening momentum toward a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA), New Zealand’s Minister for Trade and Investment, Todd McClay, arrived in Mumbai for a series of high-level bilateral engagements with Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. McClay’s visit comes shortly after Minister Goyal’s successful trip to New Zealand, where the fourth round of India-New Zealand FTA negotiations concluded on a positive note.
6. Iran has tightened its entry rules for Indian travellers following a rise in trafficking and kidnapping cases involving Indians lured into the country under false employment or transit promises. The new mandate requires all Indian nationals holding ordinary passports to obtain a visa before entering or transiting through Iran from 22 November 2025.
