1. An Indian crew member of a Comoros-flagged oil tanker that capsized off the Oman coast has died. An Indian naval warship and a P-8I maritime patrol aircraft have been sent for search and rescue efforts in Oman after a Comoros-flagged Oil Tanker MV Prestige Falcon capsized about 25 Nautical Miles South East of Ras Madrakah. The tanker is reported to have a total of 16-member crew, which includes 13 Indians and three Sri Lankans.

2. India and Malaysia have decided to increase cooperation between the two countries in the field of palm Oil and other sectors. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.

3. India has set a target to achieve 500 billion US dollar in electronics manufacturing in value terms by 2030. This ambitious target comprises 350 billion dollar from finished goods manufacturing and 150 billion dollar from components manufacturing.

4. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will be on a two-day official visit to Bhutan from today.

5. Amid its maritime tensions with China and its plans to modernise its military as a deterrence, Philippines envoy to India Josel Francisco Ignacio told in an interview that defence cooperation is a key element of growing bilateral ties.

6. Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, Dhaka has issued an urgent advisory for Indian citizens and students in Bangladesh to avoid non-essential travel and minimise movement outside their residences due to the escalating unrest in the country.
