1. India rejects US President Donald Trump’s claim on Russian oil imports issue; Says its oil import policies guided entirely by objective to safeguard interests of consumer.

2. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar meets Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya; Reaffirms India’s commitment to deepen ties in education and capacity building.

1. Former Chairperson of Nepal Forum of Environment Journalists (NEFEJ) Roshani Adhikari Pathak has been elected the Regional Council Member for West and South Asia of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) for 2026-2029.

2. Jitendra Prasad Sonal sworn in as 4th Chief Minister of Madhesh Province in Nepal.

3. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval participated in the third India-Central Asia meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council and National Security Advisers in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

4. Norway aims to provide 2 billion Norwegian kroner to a NATO-coordinated aid package for Ukraine, the Norwegian government said in a press release. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said the Nordic country is joining a group of European countries to fund a package that will secure defence equipment for Ukraine.

5. S. President Donald Trump joined with leaders of Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey to sign a joint declaration supporting a ceasefire and peace plan for Gaza. The agreement was reached during the Sharm El‑Sheikh Summit in Egypt as part of efforts to end the two‑year war between Israel and Hamas and lay the groundwork for reconstruction and stability.
