1. New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon arrives in New Delhi on five-day visit to India; Two countries launch Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 10th edition of Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi today. The New Zealand Prime Minister will also join the inaugural session as the Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address.
3. Lashkar-e-Taiba’s terrorist Abu Qatal, also known as Qatal Sindhi, was killed in the Jhelum area of the Sindh region of Pakistan. He was gunned down by unidentified assailants last night. Abu Qatal was a most wanted terrorist, known for planning multiple attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He was a close aide of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.
4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an interview with US-based podcaster and AI researcher Lex Fridman, called the Godhra train incident a tragedy of “unimaginable magnitude” which became a “sparking point for violence”.
5. India has recently added six new properties to its UNESCO Tentative List, bringing the total count of tentative sites in the country to 62. These sites, including Ashokan Edict Sites, Chausath Yogini Temples, and Kanger Valley National Park, were officially included in the list on March 7, 2024, as confirmed by the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO.

1. Billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX Dragon crew has successfully entered the International Space Station (ISS) and was welcomed by the Expedition 72 team, including Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams. The spacecraft was launched from Texas on Friday.
A SpaceX capsule successfully delivered four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) early Sunday morning in a mission aimed at swapping crew members and bringing home two astronauts — Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams — who have been stranded aboard for nearly nine months.
2. The World Health Organization (WHO), in its report titled “Compassion and Primary Health Care”, emphasises how compassion can transform health services. This reflects a growing recognition of compassion as essential for enhancing health outcomes and improving the patient experience.
3. At least 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed and over 26 injured after a bus carrying Frontier Constabulary security personnel came under heavy gunfire on the N-40 highway at Noshki in Balochistan province. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
4. In the United States, at least 34 people have died after deadly tornadoes tore through several south-eastern states, flipping cars and flattening homes. Flash flooding and flood warnings have also been issued in central Mississippi, eastern Louisiana and western Tennessee.
5. In Myanmar, an airstrike by the military on a village under the control of a pro-democracy resistance group has killed at least 27 civilians including six children.
6. Hamas said it will only release an American-Israeli and the bodies of four other hostages if Israel implements their ceasefire agreement, calling it an “exceptional deal” aimed at getting the truce back on track.
