1. India has emphasized a lasting and peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Pavan Kapoor, represented India at the two-day Summit on Peace in Ukraine at Burgenstock in Switzerland, which concluded yesterday.
2. The first-ever direct flight between India and Cambodia was launched today. The flight was officially inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia Neth Savoeun and the Indian Ambassador to Cambodia Devyani Khobragade.
3. High Commission Of India In UK Organises Yoga Event At Trafalgar Square In London. The event witnessed a significant participation of more than 700 enthusiastic people. Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated across the world annually on June 21, following its adoption by the United Nations in 2014.
4. The joint statement of Group of Seven (G7) nations on the final day of their annual summit in Italy has pledged support to specific infrastructure projects like the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) in their statement.

1. Torrential rains have forced the evacuation of 36,000 people in the eastern province of Fujian, China.
2. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that its eight soldiers were killed in a blast in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah. The soldiers were all killed inside a Namer combat engineering vehicle (CEV).
3. Recent studies from the University of Southern California show that the Earth’s inner core has slowed down a lot. Historically, the Earth’s inner core has been known for having a high spinning speed that is separate from the planet’s outer layers. Scientists call this change leaving what they call the “super-rotation” phase the first time the core has slowed down in decades.
4. Egypt and Bahrain have joined China as international partners to develop and deliver scientific instruments for the Chang’e-7 mission. The Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA), Bahrain’s National Space Science Agency, and the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics, and Physics signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop a hyperspectral camera as part of the goal of developing and delivering scientific instruments for the Chang’e-7 mission.
5. *80 countries at Swiss conference agree territorial integrity of Ukraine must be basis of any peace* : Eighty countries have called for the “territorial integrity” of Ukraine to be the basis for any peace agreement to end Russia’s two-year war. The joint communique capped a two-day conference at the Burgenstock resort in Switzerland, marked by the absence of Russia, which was not invited.
