1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a six-day visit to Nigeria, Brazil and Guyana.

2. India, Nepal, Bangladesh launch first trilateral power flow transaction to boost sub-regional connectivity : India, Nepal and Bangladesh have achieved a major milestone in energy cooperation with the launch of the first power transaction of upto 40 Megawatt from Nepal to Bangladesh via the Indian grid. Union Minister for Power Manohar Lal jointly inaugurated the power flow from Nepal to Bangladesh.

3. India urges at COP29 climate summit that
developed countries must mobilize 1.3 trillion dollars annually till 2030 for climate change.

4. Australia has introduced a new initiative aimed at talented young professionals from India. This initiative is known as the Mobility Arrangement for Talented Early-professionals Scheme (MATES). It offers Indian university graduates an opportunity to work in Australia for a duration of two years.

MATES is a program designed for Indian nationals who are recent graduates. It allows them to gain work experience in Australia. The scheme is part of a broader effort to enhance bilateral migration and mobility between Australia and India. It aims to address illegal migration issues while promoting lawful opportunities.

A unique software, developed by Integrated Defence Staff in collaboration with Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N), was launched during the annual meeting of the Joint Electromagnetic Board (JEMB), a subcommittee of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC).e-Tarang System, an advanced AI-powered platform designed to optimize communication and enhance electronic warfare capabilities.

6. British Hindus and Indians protested outside the Oxford Union on 15 November, 2024, in response to a debate titled “This House Believes in an Independent State of Kashmir.” The protest was organized by INSIGHT UK, which raised concerns about the inclusion of speakers Muzzammil Ayyub Thakur and Zafar Khan, both of whom have been alleged to have links to terrorism.

1. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s NPP registers landslide victory in Sri Lankan🇱🇰 parliamentary elections.

The leftist coalition won 159 seats in the 225 member house. The main opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya led by Sajith Premadasa came a distant second securing 40 seats, while Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi secured 8 seats.

2. The World Health Organization has reported a significant surge in measles cases worldwide in 2023. According to a newly released report by the WHO, 10.3 million cases of measles were reported globally last year, an increase of 20 percent from 2022.
