1. India has strongly taken up the matter of the death of an Indian national in Russia with the Russian authorities in Moscow and the Russian Embassy in New Delhi. Ministry of External Affairs has reiterated the demand for the early discharge of the remaining Indian nationals recruited to serve in the Russian Army.
2. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister José Manuel Albares participated in a session on ‘Strategic Alliances for a Changing World’ at the Spain-India Council Foundation in Madrid.

1. In the US, at least 25 people killed and thousands remain under mandatory evacuation orders due to raging wildfires in Los Angeles.

2. Palestinian and Israeli officials have confirmed progress in ‘Indirect negotiations’ between Hamas and Israel, toward a potential ceasefire agreement. Hamas reportedly delivered a “positive” response to a draft of the Gaza ceasefire agreement offered by mediators in Doha.

Kate Middleton, Britain’s Princess of Wales, on Tuesday paid a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London to thank National Health Service (NHS) staff who cared for her during her cancer treatment over the past year and went on to reveal that she was in remission. Her visit marked the first confirmation of where the 43-year-old senior royal underwent her preventative chemotherapy.
4. South Korean authorities arrested impeached president Yoon Suk Yeol over insurrection accusations related to his December 3 martial law declaration.
