1. PM Modi gave a strong message to Islamabad saying that there is no place left in Pakistan where terrorists can breathe in peace. He said, the masters of terror have now realized that shedding the blood of innocent people will have only one outcome, devastation and utter annihilation.
2. The Government of India has declared a Pakistani official, working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, persona non grata for indulging in activities not in keeping with his official status in India. Ministry of External Affairs, in a statement said, the official has been asked to leave India within 24 hours.
3. India has welcomed Russia’s offer for direct talks with Ukraine.
4. In a historic recognition of India’s fight for child justice, renowned lawyer and child rights activist Bhuwan Ribhu has become the first Indian lawyer to receive the Medal of Honour from the World Jurist Association. Awarded during the World Law Congress 2025 held in the Dominican Republic.

1. Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney has appointed Anita Anand to the powerful post of Foreign Minister in his new cabinet. He also appointed Maninder Sidhu as the international trade minister, and two others of Indian descent as secretaries of state, the equivalent of ministers of state.
2. The United States and Saudi Arabia signed a strategic economic partnership agreement. The pact was signed by US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
3. In Libya, violent clashes have erupted in the capital Tripoli between rival armed factions. The clashes come amid reports of the death of Abdul-Ghani al-Kikli, known as Ghaniwa, who headed the Stability Support Department affiliated with the Presidency Council.
4. Taiwan said that it spotted 31 Chinese aircraft, 7 Chinese warships, and one official ship, continuing to operate around the Taiwan Strait. 30 aircraft out of 31 crossed the median line of the strait and entered the northern and southwest airspace.
5. In Australia, Sussan Ley has been appointed as the leader of the Liberal Party, becoming the first woman to lead the federal party in its 80-year history. She defeated her rival, Angus Taylor, in a tight party room ballot, taking over as Australia’s first female opposition leader.
6. Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander arrived in Israel after being released by Hamas. He was held in Hamas captivity in Gaza for 19 Months. Alexander was released following direct talks between Washington and Hamas.
7. The United States announces new sanctions on Iran following 4th round of nuclear talks. US has imposed sanctions on three Iranian nationals and one Iranian group linked to SPND, Iran’s former nuclear weapons program.
8. The Kurdish armed group, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), has announced it is laying down its arms and disbanding. The move followed a call in February by the group’s jailed leader, Abdullah Öcalan, for it to disband.
