1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauds inclusion of 12 historic forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

2. Gingee Fort in Villupuram district, Tamil Nadu, was officially declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site during the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee in Paris. The fort is part of the Maratha Military Landscapes, a group of 12 forts now recognized globally for their cultural and historical value.

3. The Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), an umbrella organisation of mountain tourism entrepreneurs, has reported that pilgrims travelling to Kailash Mansarovar are facing difficulties owing to the collapse of the Nepal-China Miteri Bridge near the Rasuwagadhi border point.

4. The United States and India are in advanced discussions to finalise an interim trade agreement that could see proposed US tariffs on Indian goods set below 20%, a significant reduction from the 26% initially proposed and a notably more favourable rate compared to other Asian countries.

5. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will be visiting Singapore and China from today till 15th July. External Affairs Minister will visit China to participate in the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting being held in Tianjin.

6. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognised India’s pioneering efforts in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with traditional medicine, particularly Ayush systems.

1. US President Donald Trump imposes 30 percent tariffs on European Union and Mexico.

2. UNESCO added three historic sites in Cambodia, linked to the Khmer Rouge’s brutal regime, to its World Heritage List. This decision was made during the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Paris.

3. At least six people were killed as Russia continued to pound Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles. Twenty people were also injured in the attacks. Russia launched a massive aerial assault on Ukraine overnight, using nearly 600 drones and 26 missiles in its fourth major attack this month.

4. At least 28 people were killed in the Gaza Strip in Israeli airstrikes. According to media reports, four children and two women were among at least 13 people killed in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza.

5. The World Meteorological Organization has said that sand and dust storms now affect over 330 million people in more than 150 countries, causing mounting harm to health, economies, and the environment.
