1. India and Qatar have committed to resolve all obstacles hindering bilateral trade. In a Joint Working Group meeting, an Indian delegation from the Department of Commerce and other Ministries and organisations met with their Qatari counterparts in Doha on 10th of this month.

2. India and Bhutan have agreed to work together in the areas of climate change, air quality, forest, wildlife management, and capacity building in the field of environment and climate change. A delegation from the Bhutan, headed by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Gem Tshering met Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh in New Delhi.

3. PM Modi has stressed on the role of BIMSTEC as an engine for economic and social growth, reaffirming India’s commitment to a peaceful, prosperous, resilient and safe BIMSTEC region. The Foreign Ministers from the BIMSTEC Member States today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

4. The Medical Devices Information System (MeDevIS), which was just released by the World Health Organization (WHO), is a major step forward in healthcare around the world. This online tool, which anyone can use, aims to improve how medical devices are given out and used around the world.

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal ‘Prachanda’ lost a vote of confidence in Parliament : Nepal’s prime minister lost a vote of confidence in parliament on Friday after the largest party in his governing coalition withdrew its support, forcing him to step down from office after 19 months in power.

2. Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece signed a strategic deal on July 11. All three countries are members of NATO and the EU. This deal will make it easier for troops and weapons to move quickly across their lines, especially along NATO’s eastern flank.
