1. The Union ministry of external affairs said that the border dispute between Guyana and Venezuela should be resolved peacefully and escalatory steps must be avoided.

1. UN General Assembly calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The Israel-Hamas war has entered its 68th day. The war is now in its third month. It started after the Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing around 1,200 people and taking over 200 people as hostages back to Gaza.

2. Islamabad High Court acquitted former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia Steel mill corruption case.

3. Donald Tusk elected as Polish Prime Minister,
Polish prime minister Donald Tusk’s government won a vote of confidence in parliament on Tuesday, as he set out a pro-European Union vision for Poland that marks radical change after eight years of nationalist rule and disputes with Brussels.

4. Selling and distribution of fish, meat, and alcohol have been prohibited for three days in Janakpurdham in view of Sitaram Vivah Panchami Mahotsav festival. Janakpurdham or Janakpur is a sub-metropolitan city in Dhanusha district, Madhesh Province, Nepal.

5. In Pakistan, 23 soldiers were killed on Tuesday when militants linked to a Pakistani Taliban affiliate rammed an explosive-laden truck into a security forces’ post in restive Khyber-Paktunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district.

6. The United Nations has officially ended its decade-long peacekeeping mission in Mali after 10 years, responding to the government’s claim that the force was inadequate in addressing the escalating threat of violent extremism. This move marks the conclusion of the deadliest peacekeeping mission globally, with over 300 personnel casualties.

7. China has achieved a significant milestone in its quest to shift away from traditional coal-fired power plants and decrease its reliance on foreign technologies. Recently, the Shidao Bay nuclear power plant in eastern Shandong province commenced commercial operations, heralding the era of next-generation gas-cooled nuclear reactors.
