1. External Affairs Minister, Dr S Jaishankar, and his Maldivian counterpart, Moosa Zameer has renewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for capacity building of one thousand Maldives civil services officers during the period 2024 to 2029. The MoU was renewed on the 9th of this month in the capital of the Maldives.
2. Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a high-level bilateral meeting with his New Zealand counterpart Todd McClay and his delegation in New Delhi.

6. A top adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government, Foreign affairs adviser Mhammed Touhid Hossain on Monday said that deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s extended stay in India will not hurt bilateral relations and Dhaka will always try to maintain good relations with New Delhi.

1. Hezbollah Targets Israeli Military Base With Around 30 Projectiles : Days after Israel confirmed the death of a senior Hamas commander, the country’s defence forces said that around 30 projectiles were launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel in the night time volley. Lebanon-based Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the attack, claiming to target a military base.
2. On August 11, 2024, U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the deployment of a guided missile submarine to the Middle East due to increasing tensions after the deaths of top members of Hamas and Hezbollah.
3. As Balochistan continues to face a dire situation with enforced disappearances, 18 individuals were reported missing in the last weeks of July this year, with five dead bodies found, The Balochistan Post stated in its bi-weekly report.
