1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Mauritius. During his visit, the Prime Minister will take part in the National Day Celebrations of Mauritius as the chief guest on Wednesday. Mauritius celebrates the National Day on the 12th of March every year to commemorate its independence from British rule in 1968.

2. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan highlighted that India and Armenia are actively working towards establishing direct flights between the two countries. Addressing the 52nd Sapru House lecture in New Delhi.

3. India has imposed an anti-dumping duty of up to 986 US dollars per tonne for five years on a chemical, used for water treatment, imported from China and Japan to protect the domestic industry from cheap inbound shipments.

4. Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Luxon will be on a five-day visit to India from the 16th of this month.

5. India and the 27-nation European Union (EU) will start the tenth round of negotiations for a proposed free trade agreement in Brussels.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen last month agreed to conclude the ambitious India-EU free trade deal by this year amid fears of the Trump administration’s threat of higher tariffs.

6. The 3rd India-Cambodia Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) were held in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

7. Vanuatu Prime Minister Jotham Napat has ordered the Citizenship Commission to revoke the Vanuatu passport issued to former Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Lalit Modi. Mr. Napat stressed that obtaining Vanuatu citizenship is a privilege, not a right.

8. On 10 March 2025, an Air India flight from Mumbai to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport was forced to return to Mumbai due to a bomb threat.The Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, carrying 322 people including 19 crew members, was flying over Azerbaijan when the threat was detected.

1. NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, whose short mission to the International Space Station (ISS) last year has turned into a 10-month marathon, are finally gearing up for a return to Earth. The American space agency has cleared to launch on SpaceX’s Crew10 this week, which will bring the duo back as early as March 16.

2. Russia ordered two British diplomats stationed at the embassy in Moscow to leave the country within two weeks over spying allegations.

3. Military officials from more than 30 nations will meet at Paris in France to discuss creating an international security force for Ukraine.

4. Saudi Arabia is set to host talks today between the United States and Ukraine Jeddah to resolve the three-year old conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

5. An oil tanker and a cargo ship collided yesterday off the coast of eastern England, setting both vessels on fire. At least 32 casualties were brought ashore.

6. Syria’s interim government announced the end of a military operation against insurgents loyal to ousted president Bashar al-Assad after days of intense fighting.
Clashes erupted on Thursday after Alawite gunmen attacked a police patrol near Lattakia, spreading violence across Syria’s coastal region.

7. South Korea and the United States began their annual joint military exercises, but they paused live-fire training.

8. In Nepal, thousands of pro-monarchists hit the streets of Kathmandu to welcome former King Gyanendra Shah upon his arrival from his visits to the western parts of the country. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and organisations supporting the monarchy welcomed the former king as he exited the main gate of Tribhuvan International Airport.
