1. President Smt Droupadi Murmu met visiting leaders of India’s neighbourhood and Indian Ocean Region at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi yesterday. The visiting dignitaries attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

2. During President Smt Droupadi Murmu interaction with Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, President Murmu reaffirmed that Mauritius is an important maritime partner of India in the Indian Ocean Region, as part of Vision SAGAR.

3. The Consulate General of France in Puducherry conducted the election for selecting 81 members for the European Parliament, an arm of the European Union, yesterday. In total, four polling booths – two in Puducherry, one each in Karaikal and Chennai – were established for the election. In total, 945 French Citizens cast their votes.

4. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated PM Narendra Modi for taking oath for the third consecutive term.

5. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on assuming office for the third consecutive term. He said that BJP’s success in recent polls demonstrates the confidence of people in PM Modi’s leadership.

6. Maldives Parliamentary Committee has passed a resolution to investigate the previous government’s agreements with India, reported.This report comes on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s oath ceremony, which was also attended by Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu.

7. India participated in the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting which began in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod on Monday, the first assignment for India’s foreign policy under the historic third consecutive term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dammu Ravi, Secretary (Economic Relations), at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), led the Indian side at the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

1. Missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck two ships in the Gulf of Aden. anti-ship ballistic cruise missile hit the Antigua- and Barbuda-flagged cargo ship Norderney.

Houthi military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree claimed the attack in a pre-recorded video message Sunday, saying the vessel had been targeted with both missiles and drones.

2. Baloch rights activist Mahrang Baloch has raised concerns over the silence of the international community on the atrocities faced by the Baloch community in Pakistan.
