6. ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan has said that during Operation Sindoor, all Indian satellites functioned round-the-clock and fully met the requirements. Addressing an event in New Delhi, Mr. Narayanan highlighted how ISRO is strengthening India’s technological edge, boosting localisation and technology transfer, and driving space entrepreneurship to position the country as a global space leader.

Last year, the 76-year-old returned to Thailand after remaining in exile for more than a decade. On return, he was sentenced to eight years for corruption and abuse of power, which was later reduced to one year by royal pardon.
8. The Nepali Army and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) commenced the fourth edition of their joint military exercise, Sagarmatha Friendship-2025, in Kathmandu. The exercise, running until 16 September 2025, aims to boost cooperation in counter-terrorism, disaster management, and United Nations peacekeeping.
