1. PM Modi will be in Paris today (Feb 10) to Co-Chair AI Action Summit with President Macron.

PM Modi is on a diplomatic tour to France and the US, he aimed at bolstering strategic, economic, and technological partnerships with both nations. In France, the Prime Minister will co-chair the AI Action Summit with President Emmanuel Macron which begins today.

2. The United States will be participating in the Aero India expo this year for the 15th time. The show is scheduled to begin from today to 14th of this month at Yelahanka in Bengaluru. More than two dozen American exhibitors will engage Indian Counterparts, explore new business opportunities and demonstrate innovative solutions in aviation and defense.

1. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has urged an emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to address the Gaza crisis. Araghchi discussed the matter with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty over a phone call.

2. The Israeli military has pulled out of the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza, a move confirmed by Hamas. This withdrawal is part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

3. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has asked Hamas to release all the Israeli hostages taken by them immediately.

4. In China, at least 29 people remain missing after a landslide struck a village in Junlian County, located in the south-western Sichuan province.

5. A powerful earthquake of 7.6 magnitude struck the Caribbean Sea, southwest of the Cayman Islands. the U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami advisory for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands but confirmed there was no tsunami threat for the U.S. mainland.

6. In Sri Lanka, a sudden islandwide power outage was reported, affecting multiple regions across the country. The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has said that supply has been restored to most parts of the island.

7. Lebanon has formed its first full-fledged government since 2022, ending a prolonged deadlock, with Nawaf Salam assuming the role of Prime Minister. President Joseph Aoun confirmed.

8. In Mexico, at least 41 people lost their lives in a tragic accident when a bus collided with a truck near the small city of Escárcega in southern Mexico.
