1. Russia shuts down international network of call centres involving mass fraud in several countries, including India.
2. Haj Committee of India will cater 1.22 lakh pilgrims who will attend spiritual journey of Haj 2025. Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided allotment of the quota for Haj Committee of India and Haj Group Organizations which is governed by a bilateral agreement which is signed between India and Saudi Arabia.
3. Sri Lanka to receive rice from several countries including India to mitigate shortage. Last week, the Cabinet approved a temporary waiver on import control permits for rice until 20th December.

1. Taiwan’s military is on high alert yesterday after detecting Chinese warships near the island.
2. At least 10 people have died, and two more are missing after landslides triggered by heavy rainfall struck hilly villages on Indonesia’s main island of Java.
3. South Brazil’s Santa Catarina state remains on alert for heavy storms that have triggered flooding, landslides, and evacuations in 22 cities.
4. At least 110 people were massacred in a slum in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince. The incident came after a gang leader appeared to have targeted people he suspected of causing his child’s illness through witchcraft. The National Human Rights Defence Network (RNDDH) reported today that gang leader Monel Mikano Felix ordered the killings after a voodoo priest claimed elderly people in Wharf Jeremie had cursed his son.
5. Five soldiers were killed and another critically injured after a military helicopter crashed during a training flight in Türkiye’s southwest Isparta province. According to the Turkish Armed Forces, an AS 532 Cougar-type helicopter carrying 13 personnel took off from a military command in Senoba, Sirnak. Shortly afterward, the helicopter hit a high-voltage line and crashed.
6. South Korean authorities have imposed a travel ban on President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is under investigation for his short-lived martial law declaration last Tuesday.
7. In Sudan, a least 28 people were killed and 37 others injured in a bombardment targeting a fuel station south of the capital Khartoum.
8. Russia grants asylum to former Syrian President Assad and his family. Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his family have arrived in Moscow after fleeing from West Asia.
