1. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar spoke to his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya. He thanked him for Kuwait’s solidarity and support in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
2. In Jammu and Kashmir, nearly sixty Pakistani women and their children, most of them married to former Kashmiri terrorists, were deported to Pakistan through the Wagah border. The families, which gathered from districts including Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Budgam, and Shopian, were escorted in buses to Punjab for handover to Pakistani authorities.
3. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has dismantled the cybercrime networks of online child sexual exploitation with international linkages. CBI took the action under operation Hawk, which has been launched on the basis of inputs received from USA.
4. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has recently launched the Accelerating Innovative Monitoring for Nature Restoration (AIM4NatuRe) initiative. This programme, funded by GBP 7 million from the United Kingdom, aims to enhance the monitoring and reporting of global ecosystem restoration efforts.

1. In Bangladesh, the High Court granted bail to former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in a sedition case. Mr Chinmoy Das is a spokesperson for Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatan Jagran Jote. Das was arrested on sedition charges on November 25.
2. Vietnam celebrated the 50th anniversary of the end of the war with the United States. Celebrations included a grand military parade in the southern Vietnamese city of Saigon. The war, which started in 1954, ended on 30 April 1975.
3. In Sweden, three people have tragically lost their lives following a shooting incident at a hair salon near Vaksala Square in Uppsala.
4. Former Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has paid 1 million Sri Lankan rupees in compensation ordered by Sri Lanka’s Supreme Court. The court had ordered the compensation following the annulment of the presidential pardon granted to Jude Shramantha Jayamaha, who was convicted in the Royal Park murder.
5. Saudi Arabia warns Pakistan of strict penalties over violation of Haj regulations. The ministry warned that any Pakistani performing or attempting to perform Hajj without a valid permit will face a fine of up to 20,000 Saudi Riyals.
6. Recently, Mexico and the United States reached a critical agreement concerning water distribution from the Rio Grande basin. This agreement comes after rising tensions, including threats from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding tariffs and sanctions.
