1. Foreign Ministers of the NATO member will hold a two-day informal meeting in Prague to discuss support for Ukraine and preparations for the July NATO summit in Washington.
2. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru has been awarded the Nelson Mandela Award for Health Promotion for 2024 by the World Health Organization (WHO). The institute is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
3. ASSOCHAM organized a roundtable discussion on ‘International Roundtable Conference on Effective Audit Committee: Enhancing Governance’ in New Delhi on Friday. Addressing the conference, Chairperson of the National Financial Reporting Authority, Dr. Ajay Bhushan Prasad Pandey said that there has been phenomenal growth in public participation in the retail and private sectors, making India a nation of investors instead of a nation of savers.
4. Malaysia’s Newly Appointed High Commissioner to India Muzaffar Shah Mustafa Meets Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais. He asserted that Malaysia will increase cooperation with India in the fields of tourism, science and technology, sports and palm plantation.
5. President Droupadi Murmu on Friday accepted the credentials of the new envoys of China, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Kuwait, Ecuador, Guinea and Fiji at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
6. State Department’s Special Representative for Global Partnerships Dorothy McAuliffe will travel to India from June 7 to 8. During her visit, she will travel to Kochi to meet participants and deliver closing remarks at the WiSci (Women in Science) South Asia STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and design, and mathematics) Camp.
