1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Kuala Lumpur on 7th and 8th February on the invitation of Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim.
2. India’s Rouble Nagi, an art and social science teacher from Mumbai, has won the $1-million Global Teacher Prize 2026 at the World Governments Summit in Dubai. The award was presented by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
3. The Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said, the first tranche of the bilateral trade agreement between India and the USA is almost ready. He added, India expects to finalize and sign a joint statement between both the countries in about 4 to 5 days.

1. The Election Commission of Nepal has published the final list of candidates for Proportional representation polls to be held on March 5. The list includes a total of 3,135 candidates with 57 election symbols from 63 different political parties.
Nepal has begun deploying thousands of army troops across the country to bolster security for the next month’s general elections.
2. Russia, Ukraine and the United States have concluded a second round of peace talks in Abu Dhabi, agreeing on a major prisoner exchange but leaving key political and security issues unresolved.

Dubai will become the second city after Las Vegas to introduce the Dubai Loop, an underground transport system developed by The Boring Company, with the first phase set to connect the Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai Mall, the Roads and Transport Authority said.The project was announced at the World Government Summit.
