1. Prime Minister receives congratulatory messages from global organisations on completion of 10 years of Swachh Bharat Mission. World Bank President, Ajay Banga remarked that the mission has significantly transformed India through improved sanitation.
2. The Ministry of External Affairs advised Indian nationals to avoid all non-essential travel to Iran.
3. The Embassy of India in Riyadh has successfully concluded its participation in the nationwide Swachchta Hi Seva campaign, a cleanliness and sanitation initiative aligned with the broader Swachh Bharat Mission. The two-week campaign, running from September 17 to October 2, saw active involvement from embassy officials, staff, and members of the Indian community in Saudi Arabia.

6. In Cambodia, 67 Indian nationals were rescued trapped in fraudulent job offers obtained through fake agents, who lured them into cyber crimes. The Embassy of India in Phnom Penh, in close cooperation with the Cambodian police, is now facilitating the repatriation of these nationals in batches.

1. Israel bans UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s entry into the country.
2. United Nations secretary-general António Guterres condemned Iran’s missile attack on Israel. He urged the Security Council to an end the deadly cycle of tit-for-tat violence.
3. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu holds meeting with security chiefs at the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv. This high-level gathering comes as Israel deliberates its response to Iran’s recent missile assault, with Netanyahu vowing retaliation. On the other hand, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned that the strikes from the resistance front will intensify.
4. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the assault, launching nearly 200 missiles at Israel. The IRGC stated that the strikes were in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the recent killings of senior Hamas, Hezbollah, and IRGC commanders.
5. In Nepal, as many as 228 people have died, while 25 others are still missing in the recent rain-induced floods and landslides. Another 158 people have sustained injuries.
6. The World Green Economy Forum was launched in Dubai, bringing together global leaders and experts to address pressing environmental challenges.
