“Champions don’t do extraordinary things. They do ordinary things, but they do them without
thinking, too fast for the other team to react. They follow the habits they’ve learned.”
-Charles Duhigg
With the New Year on the crest and our unfulfilled dreams and broken resolutions of the last
year, most of us stand confused and struggle to find our foot on how to transform our lives. So,
not another year goes by with us remaining addicted to our shortfalls and bad habits.
Indeed, transformation is a painful journey, but hundreds of books and life coaches are out there
that say otherwise, for example, Atomic Habits by James Clear. Transformation or change is
difficult if our goal is to change life. No, absolutely no. we don’t have to start by having our first
goal to change life.
We have to start small and take small wins on the way instead of the whole swing. We just have
to make sure that today is better than yesterday. For example, if you exercise daily, make sure
you are making a tiny improvement every day. If you are a student, make sure you are
increasing your focus, learning ability, and memory daily.
Push yourself each day for that marginal growth and in the end all that in accumulation will be
significant. This is what is going to differentiate you from the other men who are trying and
remaining unsuccessful.
Once you focus your energy on marginal growth, your overall growth improves, and those who
start with changing life, often lose their inspiration, focus, goal, and sometimes even purpose.
None of us have to start our great rather become great in the journey.
And start taking pride in every little win that you secure yourself. You should let go of what you
were yesterday and shift all your conscious energy to what you want to be tomorrow. For a long
time, you have left yourself aloft from your dreams, thinking it might it too difficult. But let me
assure you, it is nothing like that.
Anyone can be anything. All you have to do is to have a little courage and trust yourself, for, the
future is those who are willing to work and be consistent in their daily efforts. So, you don’t have
to win the day just do what you really care about in the right way.
You got this! You can do this! Take it as your call and start again but this time for the little gains
every day!
