I have a story
that you want as yours
and I have as mine.
I am not ready in give in
and you are not ready to
give up.
You say we can negotiate
and come up with a price.
You ask for a date.
I bang the door on your nose
shrieking, this man is mad.
Men have been mad for centuries.
They marry and assume wife
to keep as an unpaid maid.
I assume you are a freak.
I keep my distance.
I read the stories of other
men like you who make
hollow promises and
treat women as slaves.
I save myself and my story
for a real man who knows
love, respect, and devotion.
Unlike many, I believe in my
story. Unlike you, I do not steal
others. I wait for mine.
