Right in the morning,
if I talk about me and not God,
or mention needs and not ends,
there is far larger than things
in the world for me to learn
beginning from self to why things
happen the way they do.
For, often in life the greatest of
the mystery is embedded in the
simplest of habits. Habits that known
were known to our forefathers and
then lost in the passings.
But they still exist.
Somewhere in the lineage.
Somewhere frozen in time and
in the book of foreigners’ travel
the journal may be decorated on his
fire mantelpiece.
