I talk so much with people
and so sweet, but after the
day when I return to the night,
to bed, to the pages of the book,
it fills me with an uncanny sense
of satisfaction, for, it is honest
with me, brutally honest, unlike
people’s statement, it is objective,
it speaks in numbers and not mere
assumptions and promises,
it tells the truth about the state of
humans, evolution, prosperity,
animals, rights, and riots,
all in numbers under the veil of
the gender gap, rate of inflation,
political inequality, marital rape,
judgments of the Supreme Court,
and sing me to sleep
where I dream about the country
we are together creating.
Country, which has an
awakened consciousness,
Country, which is known
as the Land of love, truth,
beauty, and light.
