Joyous Walk

Joyous Walk

when I walk dreamlessly,
languidly, leisurely,
whistling & skippingover the uncanny paths.

passerby gaze at me
with following eyes
to know
the reason
behind my awe inspiring
smile.

at times, I feel like
stopping by and blurting out
in one go-

“to look at the changing hues of sky,
to look at the enchanting clouds,
to look at the flight of the flock,
to look at the green leaves
turning yellow,
to feel the touch of the
cool breeze brushing by,
to feel the stable dust of crust
under the feet.”

what else could
be more sublime
then,
just to feel Alive &
Grateful.

but I know,
if I say all thesepeople call me crazy’

for, for most of us, today,
joy comes from materials
