A chilling case has been witnessed in the Ghaziabad area of Delhi, where a woman had stepped out of her house for the collection of rent when she was found dead with her body wrapped in a travelling bag. This case spread panic among her family members when she went missing for a few hours, following which the police launched an inquiry into the case. The police have also arrested her tenants for questioning the case as they suspect them to be involved in this gruesome crime.
What Happened Before She Went Missing
According to the authorities that were made aware of the issue, the woman had stepped out earlier that day in search of some cash from the tenants residing at one of her properties. Nevertheless, the fact that the woman was not reachable by telephone after failing to return home had her relatives raise the alert to the authorities.
Later in the evening, the police were able to acquire a suspicious bag from a neighbouring neighbourhood. Upon examining the bag, the police were shocked by the sight of the woman’s body.
Initial findings have shown that the woman was already dead before the disposal of the body in the baggage, although the cause of death shall be determined later by the post-mortem examination. The position of the body in the baggage has, however, sparked speculations of premeditation.
As reported by the police sources, there was no indication of any struggle at the recovery area from which the victims were removed. This is an indication that the crime area is not the recovery area but a different area.
Renters Arrested, Investigations Escal
Also arrested were the tenants of the woman, whom she had allegedly gone to meet. The detectives are attempting to piece together the woman’s final movements through phone conversations, CCTV cameras, and financial transactions.
The family is in shock, neighbours demand justice.
The family of the victim is still in shock due to the incident and is calling for stiff punishment for the perpetrators. According to the victim’s neighbours, the victim was a normal wage earner who handled the issue of her properties alone and did not expect to face danger.
The whole episode has not only alarmed everyone, particularly homeowners, but also senior ladies running apartments alone.
Current Investigations
The police have assured that all possible aspects, ranging from disputes to some personal issues, have also been investigated. Hopefully, further information will come out as soon as they get the forensics report. As the city is also experiencing another disturbing crime, issues have also come up regarding some pressing concerns that include trust, accountability, and safety as far as some aspects are concerned.
