in the days of listlessness,
when it felt like life has given up
on me or I on him,
we had a hell of a time together,
sinking in the iceberg made for
elders,
we waited upon death as a pass
time, playing candy in the
meantime,
I just did not want to raise
my eyes to meet its. I was
escaping the truth, running
away from it.
The truth has the potential
to transform or destroy lives, I
was too afraid of the consequences,
that I derailed and derailed, until
a savior of God came
and told me
“It’s going to be alright. Follow your
heart, peace, and purpose. Embrace
chaos and confusion. You are what
you are.”
