Business Blasters Expo and Summit 2022 An initiative of Department of Education of GNCT Delhi

Business Blasters Expo and Summit 2022

On Saturday 5th March, 2022 an exhibition of innovative products was held at Thyagaraj Stadium. About 750 students from Delhi Government Schools took part, out of them were 331 girls.

Class XI girls from SKV-2 no. 1924027 East of Kailsah took part. They created gift items and jewelry, key rings, ear rings, gift cards etc. out of paper. The girls said, as long as you keep it away from water it will last long. To be selected in the first 120 exhibits was a privilege for the team. The motivator cum coordinator and lead teacher Mrs. Dhall (who had got the Best Teacher Award a year back) said that another group of students had presented a business idea of making LED bulbs, but because some other school boys had also submitted the same idea, our proposal was dropped. Mrs Dhall added this was a great achievement by her students, given the fact that the school does not have a science department.

Other business ideas were Motorised Wheelchair, Door Alarms, Chairs and Tables from discarded tyres, Gas leakage Alarms, Dresses, Paintings and Portraits, Soaps, Candles etc.

The Dy. CM and Education Minister Sh. Manish Sisodia said that next year we will open the expo to private schools too. The Greater Kailash MLA Sh Saurabh Bharadwaj personally took interest in promoting the Business Blasters Program for the school children. He said that the success is credited to the teachers. It is very tough to become a teacher in Delhi Government Schools, you have to clear at least three major exams; we then give them training including sending some teachers abroad. He was hopeful that the student’s business projects would be a great success and the students will now think of becoming job providers, rather than seekers, and encouraged the community to partner with the students with venture capital. The SKV-2 School VP & HoD Mrs. Sudesh Rani agrees that our competition is no longer with private schools in Delhi, but with international schools now.
