War 2 at Box Office: 15 Days In, Action Drama Approaches 230 Crore

War 2 2

The highly awaited action movie War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has now reached the end of two complete weeks in theaters. Having registered a thumping opening and keeping on its toes with consistent numbers in the first week, the film is now showing signs of wear. According to industry monitors, the combined domestic collections in 15 days are near ₹230 crore, being a decent show despite the daily figures having ebbed.

Second Week Box Office

The movie maintained a first-week blockbuster status, where curiosity and word of mouth about the Hrithik–NTR combination attracted massive crowds. Weekday figures in the second week plummeted compared to the opening, though. And yet, the movie crossed the double century mark before the halfway point of the 15-day mark.

Day 15 Earnings

On its fifteenth day, War 2 reportedly earned just over ₹1 crore. While the figure is modest when compared to its grand debut, such a dip is typical for big releases entering their third weekend. Still, this contribution pushed the overall tally close to the ₹230 crore mark.

Audience Response and Occupancy

Metros like Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru’s cinemas continued to register improved footfalls over smaller towns. Night and evening shows attracted improved occupancy, most especially in South Indian states, where Jr NTR’s fan base gave the movie an added boost. Hindi-belt hubs witnessed sharper declines, particularly during weekdays.

Comparison With Other Releases

While the movie won’t touch the heights of some recent pan-India behemoths, it has already beaten some mid-budget hits of the year. The film has also surpassed some earlier franchise installments in terms of the speed of crossing the big milestones. Nevertheless, given the new titles that keep releasing every Friday, maintaining the momentum will be a problem.

What Lies Ahead

With its star crew, big action scenes, and franchise branding, War 2 is yet to reach ₹240–₹245 crore within a week, as long as the third weekend sees an increase in footfalls. Even if the trend does not pick up, the film has already established itself as one of the more robust box office hits of 2025.
