Actor Abhishek Kumaarr, who has been part of popular shows such as Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein and Kumkum Bhagya, is now expanding his horizons beyond television. He’s currently busy shooting for a web series, an adaptation of the 1991 suspense thriller 100 Days.

Sharing details about his role, Abhishek says, “I’m playing the lead in this mystery thriller. The story unfolds through a woman who has visions, and my character is paired opposite hers.”

Reflecting on his journey, he recalls, “When I moved from Meerut to Mumbai around eight years ago, I began by doing advertisements and assisting a few directors before entering television. During the COVID phase, I did several TV shows, which gave me financial stability, but after a point, I started craving more creative fulfillment.”

That realization led him to explore newer opportunities. “I began working on brand campaigns and digital collaborations, and surprisingly, my online work started earning as much as television. That gave me the courage to turn down projects that didn’t inspire me. After that, I did a few music videos and a cameo in Ishq Vishk Rebound, which became a small but important step toward films.”

Abhishek prefers not to box himself into any single identity. “People tend to label you as an actor, influencer, or creator — but for me, it’s all about creative satisfaction. I’ve become more certain of what I want now. Television gave me a strong base, but at this stage, I’m enjoying the freedom to experiment.”
